As some of you may have noticed, we were showing hundreds of connected users today as well as thousands perviously.

This is part of an ongoing Denial of Service brute force attack and I am mitigating it.

You might have noticed that we suddenly went from hundreds to only 20 connections here this morning. Once I identify the vector they are hitting I isolate and restrict that host bank at the server firewall level and it cuts them off completely.

It's a slow and annoying cat and mouse process but I'm dealing with it as it comes.

if you see the server is completely unresponsive please give me a heads up on Facebook or email.

thx
Alex

I swear I had nothing to do with this attack either.:wink

Hang in there Alex, we're counting on you to keep our little corner of the world safe for democracy and anarcho-syndicalist communes.

Way to go Alex!
Excellent

Now if I could get Time Warner Cable to quit cutting me off from the rest of the innerwebs, my day would go a lot smoother.

Sun spots? Soaking wet cables? Gophers?

Next they'll tell me they let my password walk out the door...

I speak not this strange language; and have no idea of what you are talking about: The last time I dealt with 'Denial of Service' I believe was in a massage parlor about 30 some odd years ago. :cf:

But it sounds like you are on top of it and fighting the good fight, so keep up good work! And thank you! :tu:

So you were able to obtain some footage of the Oklahoma vs Clemson Game?

:applause:

Much better!
11.) Wild Bob - 01/07/2016
Actually, it had more to do with inebriation...
12.) Swamp Fox - 01/07/2016
We've all made mistakes...

So, since then in your life, would you say you're on track for a happy ending?

Every minute of every hour, of every day! :-)

Excellent answer! LOL

In lay language he's trying to say:

"Since I don't hunt anymore and my life is consumed with being a full time code monkey I see malicious code in my dreams. When it streams into HC it's "go" time and I get the same adrenaline rush I used to get when I drew down on a deer."

Put another way he's saying:
"I'm still the Commander and I have your six."

Hey now. He's still the Commander. Even though we never see him or hear from him except in moments in which we are under attack but rest assured he has our digital six. If we taunt him to sufficient lengths he will emerge from the shadows and ban us.
20.) DParker - 01/08/2016
I don't know. If Hannibal had a light saber, command of a mystical force that pervades the universe AND he could carry out aerial assaults because his elephants could fly? I think the Romans would have had a much shorter run than they did.
