Each team in the contest will get a name to go with their number. It's just a matter of whether it's a name of your choosing or mine. :wink
[B]Team 86[/B] has been working hard on their name, and working Luv2 over at the same time, which seems like a brilliant and extremely efficient use of time and energy, which you might expect from two former military guys. Poor Luv2, LOL. God Bless America.
Looks like Team 2 is going with [B]Dentists on Safari[/B] by executive decree. I hope you all enjoy the topical reference and hipster/ironic punk/new wave band tone, and will follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. Your mom's on Woo Woo, so we are so over that...
Team 5 might wind up as [B]Wild Bob and the Lonesome Prairie [/B]unless his teammates step up their game.
To the rest of you, I remind you of the immortal words of Bluto Blutarski and ask, "What's all this lying around $#!+?!" which today I decided not to spell out in real letters for some reason...

Why don't you use your time and skills to create the 'Spider Web Detector' I asked for a couple years ago?
Walked 3 1/2 miles on Sunday doing a little terrain scouting, spent a ton of my time going "ahhhh man.......not again...." (hands flailing around face, pulling at invisible fibers). Got to be a way to scan for those before it's too late. Meadow spiders creep me out anyway, let alone hanging from the bill of my cap, 2 inches from my eyes.

It's the ones you can't see I'm worried about. Besides, this time of year, I'm looking for timber rattlers mostly. These young guys that are always looking for an adrenaline rush should climb over our rock covered hills in August.
Nothing like having an unseen rattler start buzzing 6" from your foot to get the adrenal glands pumping. Even more when it happens simultaneously with the web you just hit and there's a spider crawling over your left ear.

Some years spiders are everywhere and other years I hardly notice them. This is a spider year here.
Seriously, waving a switch in front of you as you walk is a lot easier than peeling spider webs off your face. A long walking stick doubles as a snake detector.

I heard a report of somebody getting outraged on Twitter over something so ridiculous I can't even remember what it was two days later. It wasn't just that they were offended by something they shouldn't been offended by, it was that they had their head so far up their butt they didn't even know what they were looking at. It was so monumentally stupid I couldn't even find it funny, which is maybe why I have forgotten it already. But there are some real morons out there.
I'd better go for a short walk to calm down now, LOL.

No, I saw that a couple of weeks ago. This was about race or gender (although the flag thing was somewhat about race as well.) It wasn't about the sign on the bathroom door being racist either. That one came up one or two days ago...Somebody thinks a white silhouette (representing Men's Room) is discriminatory...I'm serious.
The one I'm thinking of involved something even worse than that. Maybe something about a movie? I'll probably figure it out, now that I'm thinking about it...unfortunately. :tap:

Not really...The deadline has usually been Aug. 14 to catch the SC and Ca. openers but we are taking "latecomers" until Sept. 30, with caveats. (See the rules at the top of the sign-up thread). I have one other guy to put on a team with you (if he comes back)...We need one more to round out a full squad.
