on this lap top.
Windows 8 sucks. Any thoughts? 2.) DParker - 08/08/2013
Sensitivity sucks too.
3.) bluecat - 08/08/2013
I'm sure any oversights in Windows 8 will be addressed in Windows 9.
4.) DParker - 08/08/2013
Here's a guy who needs a sensitivity control....
"You're a manly man, aren't ya'?" ~ Ron White I'm not sure which is worse...his weeping over ice cube trays, or that he thinks "AOL is still cool" (or maybe even the fact that CNN considered this to be newsworthy). 5.) bluecat - 08/08/2013
That was very disturbing.
6.) bluecat - 08/08/2013
Obama is very sensitive to the needs of the American people. Even if we're too stupid to realize them.
"If we don't deepen our ports all along the Gulf -- places like Charleston, South Carolina, or Savannah, Georgia, or Jacksonville, Fla.," the president told the comedian, "if we don't do that, those ships are going to go someplace else. And we'll lose jobs. Businesses won't locate here." 7.) Swamp Fox - 08/08/2013
"If we don't build the Keystone Pipeline, that oil is going to go someplace else. And we'll lose jobs. Businesses won't locate here..."
What a maroon... :re: 8.) Swamp Fox - 08/08/2013
....
9.) DParker - 08/08/2013
Not to mention the swimming, balance beam and track events that he thinks the Russians need to be focusing on when they host the upcoming Winter Olympics.

"Corpseman! Corpseman! Come quick! I think I'm bleeding over here!"

Harvard Law School graduate right there. And they keep telling me the Yale guy was dumb.
12.) Swamp Fox - 08/08/2013
Exactly.
I like the apologists: "Anyone can make a mistake."...Yeah, right. We're now into short book territory. When I start to see the NY Times and Washington Post and the editorial cartoonists waking up, then we can talk. 13.) DParker - 08/08/2013
Imagine how Sarah Palin would have been savaged for making both of those gaffs in one sitting.
14.) Swamp Fox - 08/08/2013
Here's the thing: Not only does he say stupid things, he is very capable of saying two often stupid things at the same that contradict each other.
This is to say nothing of the things he says that are blatantly untrue...some of which he knows we know are untrue but he throws the BS out there anyway... If I weren't trying to go fishing this afternoon, I'd provide some lists. Next he'll be telling us that when he kept saying that Al Qaeda was "decimated" he really meant that it was only 10% incapacitated, and they really ARE still a threat and that we really ARE at war. Silly citizens: you should have known that. Buggs Bunny said it best...:re: 15.) Swamp Fox - 08/09/2013
Obama on Leno:
"If we don't deepen our ports all along the Gulf -- places like Charleston, South Carolina, or Savannah, Georgia, or Jacksonville, Fla.," the president told the comedian, "if we don't do that, those ships are going to go someplace else. And we'll lose jobs. Businesses won't locate here."
The Associated Press gave Obama a little smooch to heal the boo-boo when they edited what he said for publication so he wouldn't look like he has some trouble comprehending U.S. geography. Here's their gift to him: "If we don't deepen our ports all along the Gulf -- [and in] places like Charleston, South Carolina, or Savannah, Georgia, or Jacksonville, Fla.," the president told the comedian, "if we don't do that, those ships are going to go someplace else. And we'll lose jobs. Businesses won't locate here." That's nice of them. I wonder what they can do about his statement on July 25 about "Some of these Gulf ports--Charleston, Savannah---" White House transcript, July 25: "And then private companies came onboard here at Jaxport. They saw it as a good investment. And we’re building the same kind of partnerships across the country — especially, by the way, in some of these Gulf ports — Charleston, Savannah. And now, these ports are on track to be better prepared for those supertankers and their cargo loads ahead of schedule." How about Atlanta on May 19 at a DNC meeting? Obama: “Roads, bridges, ports all across the Gulf — I was down in Costa Rica meeting with the Central American Presidents, and I was reminded once again, Panama is revamping its canal; they’re going to be bringing in these mega-container cargo ships. And right now a bunch of those ships can’t dock in our ports all along the Gulf — Georgia, South Carolina, Louisiana." I'm having quite a hoot today listening and reading the Obamanistas (Obamaneros? Obamanites?) falling all over themselves to give him cover. He is, after all, the coolest and smartest and most eloquent president we've ever had (except maybe for Bill and Hillary). So far, my favorite excuses are: Maybe he was referencing the Gulf Stream. He was referencing ship traffic that has something--anything--to do with the Gulf of Mexico (including coming within a thousand miles of it, apparently). It's not really a gaffe because it's not funny/Doesn't fit a narrative that Obama is dumb (Possibly because they've never heard that narrative in the Obama media.) It's not actually a gaffe because he didn't really mean the real Gulf. Here's one die-hard tying himself up in a pretzel making stuff up about what the plain words really meant: "The President didn’t say these cities were on the “Gulf Coast,” and while calling them “gulf ports” is an error, his meaning was clear in each instance: ports that service ships coming through the Gulf of Mexico’s shipping lanes. In fact, the President may have been referencing the gulf stream, the current those ships would travel to ports in Jacksonville, Savannah, and Charleston. The fact that it was included in two other speeches supports the idea that this was an ill-considered attempt at shorthand."---Tommy Christopher, 8/8/13 16.) Swamp Fox - 08/09/2013
Strangely, the AP used parentheses where I used brackets in their edit. Unless they play by different rules from everyone else all of a sudden, brackets and parentheses mean different things. They should not have used parentheses at all (since the words were never said, even parenthetically) forget about the fact that they shouldn't have used brackets or anything else to edit, modify and change the meaning what was actually said.
The AP has since apologized for/corrected their edit. Stangely again, though, the AP has a history of Obama edits. I have no info on whether they had anything to say about this: http://wizbangblog.com/2013/04/30/ap-edits-muslim-out-of-obamas-muslim-socialist-whcd-joke/ And you wonder why newspaper circulation is down and no one believes what they hear on the news, if they even bother to listen anymore. 17.) bluecat - 08/09/2013
Thanks for the write-up Swampy. It's a full time job for his kool-aid followers to do damage control.
18.) Swamp Fox - 08/09/2013
Well, it was either post that or knock off early and go fishing...
I think I'd rather fish tomorrow morning. 60% chance of getting struck by lightning this afternoon, according to whatever's reporting the weather to me in my knees. In other news, it seems the "Got Milk?" campaign and the "Eat More Chicken" people are getting together. No word yet on whether the combined effort to raise awareness will continue to use a cow mascot. Diane Feinstein has declared that the authors of those stories are the only true "journalists" because they actually receive a salary for their piss-poor news coverage. So there...or...something.

I'm just gonna' leave this here...for no particular reason at all...

'Course, now I've made myself hungry for shrimp tacos.
But Bubba didn't cover those, did he? And he knows most everything there is to know about the shrimpin' business. 23.) Swamp Fox - 08/09/2013
